Customizing resource groups for Service management

Introduction

This page allows you to customize the resource groups whereby service engineers can be added to the resource groups.

Roles and rights

All users can customize the resource groups.

Note:

What version are you using?

The information in this document is applicable to product update 256 and higher. If you have versions lower than this, certain features explained here will not be applicable.

How do I create a resource group?

  1. On the Dispatchboard service management page, click  under the Planning section.
  2. Under the Resource groups section, click + Or create new one.
  3. Type the name of the resource group at New Group and select a level at Level.
  4. Click Create.
  5. Click Close to exit.

How do I add a resource to the resource group?

  1. On the Dispatchboard service management page, click under the Planning section.
  2. Define the search criteria under the Filter criteria section.
  3. Click Show.
  4. Select a resource group under the Resource groups section.
  5. Click (along the same row as the required person in the Add column) under the Results section. The selected person will be displayed under the Current members section.
  6. Click Close to exit.

How do I delete the resource group?

  1. On the Dispatchboard service management page, click under the Planning section.
  2. Select the group and level that you want to delete.
  3. Click Delete group under the Resource groups section.
  4. Click Close to exit.

How do I update the level of the resource group?

  1. On the Dispatchboard service management page, click under the Planning section.
  2. Select the group and level that you want to update under the Resource groups section.
  3. Click Update level.
  4. Click Close to exit.
